Phillippe S. Alepin is an economist concentrating in the application of economic, econometric, mathematical, and computer science techniques to issues arising in litigation, arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, and lobbying. He is adept and experienced at advanced programming, including efficiently managing and manipulating large databases using SQL and automating data collection. Mr. Alepin has experience directing and consulting on projects involving a variety of industries, including municipal derivatives, commercial airlines, air cargo, pharmaceuticals, computer software, real estate multiple listing services, automobile parts, and eBooks. He has presented the findings of his analyses to a variety of audiences, including a Representative of Congress. Mr. Alepin’s research focuses on innovation, bargaining theory, professional sports, and airline economics. Parts of his research on competition in the commercial airline industry were presented at the 2012 International Industrial Organization Conference. Before joining MiCRA, Mr. Alepin’s thesis on the bargaining theory behind the NHL lockout of 2004/2005 earned him honors from the Department of Economics at Bowdoin College. |
