Bruce Snapp is an expert in antitrust economics and damage estimation. On behalf of public and private clients, he has analyzed mergers, monopolization and price fixing allegations, and damage claims arising in a broad range of industries, including computer hardware and software, semiconductors, banking, stock markets, primary metals, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and beverages. He has also testified in several federal and state cases, including POM Incorporated v. Duncan Industries (alleged monopolization of parking meters), ZC Sterling Insurance Agency v. Nationsdata.com (theft of trade secrets damages), and United States v. Nippon Sanso (semiconductor equipment merger).

Before entering private practice, Dr. Snapp served in the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice for ten years, first as a staff economist and then as Acting Director and Assistant Director of the Economic Policy Office. While on staff, he was the lead economist on several high-profile matters, including reviews of the IBM case during the Carter and Reagan Administrations.

Dr. Snapp joined MiCRA in 2002. Before, he worked at ICF Consulting Associates and then Economists Incorporated.

Dr. Snapp is a member of the American Economic Association and the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law, where he is Vice Chair of the Economics Committee.
